I take noticed an epidemic of sorts. I have noticed there are A LOT of Blazers out there with my Blazer'due south problem -- seems like everyone has one cease of their bumper pushed in a flake. Only enough to exist noticeable.
I am wondering if at that place is some mode to possibly pull these ends out to even the bumpers again. Or is the only style to do it to accept your truck to a trunk store and accept them put it on a rack or something? And if so, how much might that declension? Anyone know?
If yous put an aftermarket bumper on volition it assistance or would it be crooked also because the mount is pushed in?

The mount is either the frame -- which if it'south pushed in, is baaaaaaad -- or the exterior subclass matter, which would be astonishing to curve... but should be piece of cake to detect a good one, at a wrecking g or from a member here (I might have one or ii )
Equally for straightening them, y'all could practise it with a winch and a buddy's truck, tree, any ... but I tin can't imagine it would expect any better. Even a junkyard bumper seems like it'd be cheaper/easier. I seem to call up that LMC gets $150 for new ones, if you're that worried about it.

well that would be good if it was just a little bracket.. I will have to look at information technology more closely.
My fender is a little dented also.. merely I don't know if the construction underneath was pushed out of whack though.

Tie information technology to a big tree and back up. That works for me. My bumpers are all messed upwardly now. But I will necktie them to a tree once again and then end them off with a block of wood and a BFH.

Yeah, take a await and maybe mail service pix ... depending on twelvemonth and whether information technology's front or rear, the mounting changes a bit. Basically, though, it's either the frame or the bracket, and it'southward all 1/2" carriage bolts, pretty easy stuff.

I have a digital camera I'll take some pics tomorrow and post em. Does the bracket go correct to the frame? Or is there other sheetmetal that can go smooshed too? That's what I'm worried well-nigh.
Ya my fender is bashed too. I struck a automobile on ane side doing 60km/h. The car was dead. A new Mazda Protege. I beat out on it like it owed me money and it looked skillful after.
I was pulling out from the dorsum area of a house into a pocket-size alley and some daughter was flying by and when she saw me she sped up rather than stopping and destroyed ane whole side of hither automobile... my bumper was barely pushed in. information technology was pretty comical. I'll try lending my bumper some money and and then put it in the injure locker.

We turned the bumper inside out, bolted it down and pushed against a concrete filled safety stand
That was clever! I'm impressed!
I think the bumpers is pretty straight though.. I think information technology was the bracket that got the worst of it. I volition keep that 1 in mind though that is for sure.

Mine is the same way. The passenger side corner of the front bumper is bent dorsum and when it happened it put a crease in the fender only in front of the side mark low-cal. On mine the bracket isn't even bent it is but at the corner correct where the bumper unremarkably curves dorsum and it just aptitude tighter than the factory bend. I could pull it out but it isn't bad enough to worry virtually and doesn't impact the fender. Infact I wouldn't even know nigh except for the piffling crinkle on height and lesser and crease in the fender. It can be stock-still by a trunk shop but I'yard not sure if it would be worth the coin.

Yours sounds well-nigh identical to mine, 77CrewCab. Probably the same girl!
One of my highbeam headlights did go smashed though. And some chrome trim ripped off.

Nah it was a Peterbuilt The PO runs a semi truck repair shop and had one of the shop easily back out into to the truck while we were sitting in it after my test drive. Knock $200 off correct away for a ding I don't really care about

new bumper mounts are cheap if you're that worried. LMC truck has the inners for $eleven and the outers for $xiii that was for my 95 chev anyhow
